Formalities provides non-attorney document preparation services in Ellensburg, WA and throughout Washington State for clients who prefer secure online support. Includes: • Simple Last Will & Testament • Living Will / Advance Directive • Healthcare Power of Attorney • Guided intake and structured document formatting • One revision round • Clear execution and signing instructions • Digital delivery of completed documents (PDF) This is a document preparation service only. No legal advice is provided. All documents are prepared based solely on the information you supply. This online option is ideal for clients across Washington who prefer remote guidance and digital delivery.
Cancellation Policy
Booking, Cancellation & Service Policy Formalities provides document preparation and administrative support services. We do not provide legal advice or legal representation. Appointments & Booking Appointments may be scheduled online or by request. Services may be provided online or in-home, depending on the selected service. In-home appointments require travel time and preparation. Please ensure availability at the scheduled time. Cancellations & Rescheduling Clients may cancel or reschedule appointments online. Online services: May be canceled or rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance without penalty. In-home services: Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows for in-home appointments may result in a service fee to cover travel and reserved time. Payment & Refunds Payment is due at or before the time of service. Because services involve time, preparation, and document work: Fees are non-refundable once intake or document preparation has begun. If a client chooses not to proceed before work begins, payment may be credited toward a future service, at our discretion. Scope of Services Formalities assists with: Document preparation Guided intake Formatting and organization Execution instructions We do not: Provide legal advice Draft custom legal language Determine legal strategy Advise on what legal choices should be made If a situation requires legal advice or complex planning, we will clearly explain why referral to an attorney or certified paralegal is recommended. Referrals If an attorney or certified paralegal is needed, we will say so openly. Referrals are provided to support the client’s best interest and are not an endorsement or legal recommendation. Client Responsibility Clients are responsible for: Reviewing documents for accuracy Ensuring proper signing and witnessing Following state-specific execution requirements Formalities is not responsible for documents that are altered, improperly executed, or used outside their intended scope. Respectful Use Policy Formalities reserves the right to decline or discontinue services if: Requests fall outside permitted document preparation scope Legal advice is requested There are concerns regarding capacity, coercion, or conflict
